This plenary was presented on Jun 18, 2026 at the 8th Biennial Work and Family Researchers Network Conference, held at Concordia University in Montreal Canada. Panelists identified how caregiving needs evolve across the life course, from early childhood to elder care and beyond. Panelists focused on means to provide care in ways that promote well-being and gender equality at work and at home. Panelists discussed policies and practices—from supranational agreements to local workplace initiatives—that support well-being and equitable caregiving. The session concluded with the presentation of the 2026 WFRN Awards.
This plenary was presented on June 19, 2026 at the 8th Biennial Work and Family Researchers Network Conference, held at Concordia University in Montreal Canada. Panelists discussed that even with well-designed policies, achieving a care-centered society requires winning cultural, institutional, and political support. Panelists explored challenges and solutions to building momentum for care-centric policies and gender-equal caregiving norms in public discourse and decision-making spaces. The session concluded with the presentation of the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Life Research.
