This event is part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 2020.

This will report research on the wellbeing and work–life balance during the lockdown of all types of
university employees, including key workers. It focuses on the effects of homeworking and the
uncertainty surrounding the pandemic. It provides evidence on how professional workers and others
able to work at home, are coping in the pandemic, which will help managers and employees make
decisions by about the future use of homeworking.

This Webinar is chaired by Dr Elizabeth Hurren from the History department at the University of
Leicester. The event will feature presentations from: Professor Stephen Wood from the University of
Leicester Business School; Kate Bell Head of Rights, International Social and Economics, TUC; Dr
George Michaelides, University of East Anglia Business School; and Peter Cheese, Chief Executive,
CIPD.

Question and Answer sessions using the chat function will take place after each presentation.
