When you renew your membership, we hope that you pause for just a moment to appreciate the huge difference your personal commitment makes to the work-family community.

In 2024 and 2025 the WFRN:

  • Hosted its 7th Biennial Conference in Montreal Canada. Travelers arrived from 41 different countries and represented the scholarship of more than 800 researchers.
  • Organized 8 Virtual Conference Series events.
  • Produced 20 Big Ideas Videos, filmed at the 2024 conference, creating awareness of pressing work-family concerns and promising solutions disseminated on our new video channel.
  • Supported scholars, including 30 Early Career Fellows and 50  graduate students; as well as travel awards for researchers from the Global South and historically marginalized groups.
  • Fostered connection and collaboration through networking dinners, networking communities, and the Experts Panel, as well as featured the work of scholars on our website and mailings.
  • Disseminated member research via the News Feed, Research Feed, Virtual Conference Series Events, Big Ideas Talks, social media, and YouTube.

2026 will be a big year as the WFRN:

  • Prepares for the next Biennial Conference, to be held June 17-20, 2026 in Montreal Canada.  We anticipate nearly 500 participants and numerous exciting scholarly and social events!
  • Hosts numerous new Virtual Conference Series events open to the general public
  • Provides ongoing services to members, including Featured Scholars, Experts Panel, News Feed, Research Feed, Early Career Fellowships, Travel Awards, Scholarship Awards, and Teaching Resources.

You already know that the WFRN is the premier nonprofit professional association for work-family scholars and leaders.  It exists solely for, and through, the support provided by our members. Without our members, there is no WFRN.
