Statement on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Work and Family Researchers Network (WFRN) is committed to finding ways to diversify the voices represented in work-family scholarship. WFRN sees a pressing need to decolonize the curriculum and work-family scholarship to amplify marginalized voices (including Black, Indigenous, ethnic minority, LGBTQ+, lower socioeconomic class/caste and Global South). We aim to meet these goals through the following action points:

  1. Working to ensure that marginalized groups are represented in the governance structure of the WFRN
  2. Providing WFRN Conference Travel Awards to increase the representation of Global South scholars at WFRN conferences
  3. Amplifying marginalized scholars and/or research taking place within these spaces via a number of initiatives, such as (virtual) seminar series
  4. Work towards highlighting curriculum on work-family issues that accounts for a more diverse range of experiences in our teaching materials and highlighting work conducted within marginalized communities and/or by marginalized scholars
