FemQuant is excited to launch the call for papers for their next event! The event will be a one-day workshop on the 12th June 2019 at the University of Kent on the theme ‘the gender data gap’.

The day will consist of a combination of keynote speakers and paper sessions. FemQuant welcomes submissions on any aspect of the gender data gap in any social science context and any region, and particularly welcomes works in progress, speculative work, and papers from early career researchers.

Ridhi Kashyap from the University of Oxford will speak about the potential of big data to fill gender data gaps, based on her work with the Digital Gender Gaps project. More speakers will be confirmed closer to the time.

Please see the call for papers attached and the FemQuant website for more details: https://femquant.squarespace.com/call-for-papers

A 200 word abstract should be sent to femquant17@gmail.com by 6th May an decisions will be made by 17th May. If you have any questions about the event please feel free to contact Dr. Rose Cook: R.Cook-565@kent.ac.uk .

FemQuant also has a travel fund for early career researchers to fund return travel to Canterbury to present their paper – please indicate in your submission email if you would like to be considered for this.

Anyone is welcome to attend without presenting a paper – more details on the programme and logistical aspects will be released closer to the time.
