The Vanier Institute of the Family is seeking interest in a Family Research Consortium in Canada. For details, please read the information below.

“During the past year, since the first pan-Canadian conferences in March 2019, many conversations about families, family life and family well-being have taken place across Canada. From Victoria, B.C. to St. John’s, Nfld. – and many more knowledge-sharing events in between – people who study, serve and support families; those who fund family programs, services, benefits and policies; and those with lived/living experience have gathered to participate in Families in Canada events.

To build on this momentum and leverage these important conversations, the Vanier Institute of the Family is fostering collaboration and partnerships, inspiring innovation to impact, mobilizing knowledge and expediting research to practice.

To that end, we’re building the Family Research Consortium to facilitate connections between those who conduct family research and those who use it.

A “consortium” is defined as “an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations or governments or any combination of these entities, with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal.” Our common goal is optimizing family well-being in Canada.

With this in mind, we are seeking an expression of your interest in the Family Research Consortium by completing the online form by March 20, 2020.

Thank you for your interest and continued support.

We look forward to continuing the conversation on families in Canada.
