“Hall and Moss (1998), in a study of 17 organizations which were at different stages of organizational transformation in the 1990s, found that there was a clear shift in the “psychological contract,” or the mutual expectations in the employer-employee relationship. There was also a time lag between when organizations changed the nature of the psychological contract and when employees became fully aware of that change and developed a new career orientation.” (Hall)
