Rhiannon Miller’s research interests include family, inequality, gender, and computational social science. She uses quantitative methods to explore how family formation and gender reproduce inequality or facilitate social mobility. Her current research focuses on understanding how educationally hypogamous couples, different sex couples in which the female partner has more education than their male partner, are distinct from other types of couples. In a new line of research, she is investigating the rise of parenting influencers and how contemporary parents have turned to social media to learn how to parent.
