Dr. Rachael Pettigrew is an Associate Professor of General Management and Human Resources at Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Rachael’s primary research focuses broadly on gender in the workplace. Her research has explored organizational culture and policies surrounding employees’ work-life responsibilities, including projects investigating fathers’ parental leave use and employer adaptation to Canada’s new extended parental leave legislation. Her latest SSHRC-funded research explores women’s aspirations, experiences, and barriers on the path to board work. Her secondary research stream investigates workplace diversity and inclusion, including newcomers. Rachael has almost 20 years of teaching university experience, is a public speaker, and regularly engages with the business community.
