Dr. Rachael N. Pettigrew is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources and the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs at Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Rachael’s primary research focuses broadly on gender in the workplace. Her research has explored organizational culture and policies surrounding employees’ work-life responsibilities, including projects investigating fathers’ parental leave use, employer adaptation to Canada’s new extended parental leave legislation, and employer top-ups. Two recent SSHRC-funded research projects have explored women’s aspirations, experiences, and barriers on the path to board work and employees receiving fertility care and its impact on work. Her secondary research stream investigates workplace diversity and inclusion, including newcomer employment. Rachael has almost 25 years of university teaching experience, is a public speaker, and regularly engages with the business community.
