My research is positioned at the intersection of human resource management, organizational behaviour, and work–family studies. Using mixed-methods and cross-cultural designs, I investigate how work–family conflict (WFC) influences employee well-being, safety behaviour, and engagement in contexts where organizational demands, cultural norms, and family responsibilities converge. My PhD explored how WFC functions as a psychosocial risk in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, reframing safety behaviour as a form of relational care that connects workplace practices with family and community well-being. More broadly, my research advances a Global South perspective on care, work, and organizational life highlighting how gender, culture, and structure shape employees’ capacity to give and receive care across the life course. Through this lens, I aim to develop evidence-based, culturally sensitive HR policy and interventions that promote sustainable, care-centred work practices.
