My research interests are gender inequalities in the family and the labour market, marriage, the gender division of labour, time use research, welfare and public policy regimes in Western and East Asian societies, ethnicity and migration studies. My current project www.gentime-project.org, funded by a European Research Council Consolidator Grant (2018-2027), aims to investigate trends in gender inequality in time use in East Asian and Western societies between the 1980s and the 2020s.
