Feranaaz Farista is a lecturer in Organisational Psychology at the School of Management Studies, University of Cape Town (UCT), and an Associate Fellow of the EuroMed Academy. Her research revolves around the gendered analysis of work-family concerns, with a particular focus on marginalised identities in organisational contexts. Drawing on interdisciplinary and critical perspectives, her work contributes to advancing management research that is both contextually grounded and socially responsive. Her current research projects are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and focus on gender-related workplace issues, including breastfeeding at work and the experiences of women navigating motherhood and employment. Feranaaz’s work contributes to more inclusive workplace policies and practices while generating knowledge from the Global South to inform global debates, thereby challenging the geopolitics of knowledge production in work-family research.
