I am the first elected president of the Work Family Researchers’ network and have won many awards for high quality research on work and family issues including the work-life legacy award for helping to build or advance the work-life movement and many research awards for excellence. I have studied employees in all types of jobs and many flexibility forms and HR policies. I have had extensive funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, The Russell Sage Foundation and the National Science Foundation and other major funders of high quality research to study work-life issues. I have been invited to give talks or advise or teach on work-life issues in over a dozen countries around the world.
