Selection Procedure
The Awards Committee evaluates nominations on the following criteria, basing analysis on the paper submission abstracts.
- Importance of the research question
- Quality of methods
- Advancement of theory
- Potential impact on future research

If no clear top recipient is identified, the committee can elect to designate more than one recipient. In order to recognize the potential of scholars at their early career stages, the committee is encouraged to consider the career stage of nominees.
